Overview
SwissApp digitizes the SIWES supervision process for students, supervisors, and institutions — replacing paper logbooks with a structured mobile experience.
The app enables students to log daily activities, submit entries for supervisor approval, and share live location during field placements.
The Challenge
SIWES coordination relied entirely on physical logbooks and manual sign-offs. Supervisors had no visibility into student activity, and institutions couldn't verify placements or track attendance reliably.
The Solution
We built a three-role Android app — student, supervisor, and institution — with daily log entry submission, real-time GPS location tracking, and a supervisor approval workflow backed by Firebase.
